Curves Food Drive

Description: Curves will be collecting nonperishable items as well as monetary donations for food banks in the local area for the entire month of March, March 1st through March 31st. Members who make a minimum donation of $30 from March 8th to March 20th will be entered into a drawing for several great prizes and recieve a FREE reusable grocery bag. Non members who make the same donation will be able to join Curves for FREE.

Central Valley AM Jam Street and Mini Ramp Contest

Description: BBR would like to invite you to kick off the Central Valley AM Jam skateboard mini ramp and street contest at Osborn Park in Atwater. The top 5 point winners in each age group will be awarded prizes by participating sponsors. and each 1st place skater in each division will qualify for a chance to skate in the Maloof Money Cup Amateure Street competition. Registration begins at 9:00 am or you can register online at www.centralvalleyamjam.com. The age groups are 9 and under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-17, and 18+

High Speed Rail Authority Dinner

Description: The community of Merced is pulling together to continue the education and advocacy work of bringing the high-speed rail to the Merced region. As we did with the UC Merced adventure, the community is rallying to bring this opportunity and the many jobs it represents to our County.
You are invited to attend the upcoming High-Speed Rail Dinner on Thursday, March 4th, 2010. Sponsored by the Merced Boosters, the Greater Merced Chamber, the Merced County Chamber and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the event will be at the Merced County Fairgrounds Pavilion. It starts at 5:30pm with no host cocktails and dinner and program beginning at 6:30pm.
Tickets are $75 for individuals and $800 for a reserved table. Tiered sponsorship levels are also available; contact Dr. Lee Boese at 209.240.5868 for more sponsorship information.

Description: A day of health education hosted by the Castle Family Health Center and Soroptimist International of Atwater aimed at improving the lives of women & children through free vision, hearing, dental, diabetes, blood pressure, and breast exams. Education will be available on domestic abuse, pap smears, prenatal care, hearth health, skin cancer, asthma, and diabetes.
The day will also include raffles, free refreshments, and face painting
